What is Tea Time, exactly?

🍡

Tea Time is where five-ish strangers sit at a cafe with a Host to have a two hour conversation. It's not about anything in particular.

You're meant to know pretty much nothing about the people that come, aside from the fact that they all signed up for thisΒ β€” just like you. It's self-selecting in that sense.

However, it may bring you comfort to know a little something about your Host. If so, just keep reading

Meet your Host, Amir.

(It'll be helpful to know what they look like when you're looking for a group of confused strangers at the cafe.)

Hey everyone, I joined Tea With Strangers to make sure people with something on their mind have a seat at the table (literally). I love bringing people together for diversity of thought, laughter, new ideas, and friendships.

What's your story?

I always leave a party when it's still good. My spirit animal is Kristin Wiig. If Parks and Rec and Rick and Morty had a baby it would be me. And I give a thumbs down instead of a middle finger when I'm cut off in traffic.

I am a young creative professional with my heart in SoCal, my motivation in NorCal, and my sights set on the stars. I believe impossible ideas emerge when you talk them out. I enjoy art, books, writing, EDM concerts, trying to be a foodie, bingeing shows, and staying active.

What might we talk about?

Everything. Wait, everything Amir? But that's impossible. Well, challenge accepted. We'll discuss everything from existential questions, to career development, evolutionary psychology, the glory of memes, we'll tangent to reflect on history's greatest challenges and our inherited issues, comics, our values, things that make absolutes no sense, and the things that bring us together.

I aspire for conversation to be meaningful, memorable, and downright hysterical.
